Be a universal man! Respect others as much as you want to be respected.
All are God's creature! Respect HIM in dealing with HIS creatures!
Have mercy to what is on earth, the one in Heaven will have mercy on you.

Dear Ummataunwasoto,
ReplyDeleteThanks for making your voice heard in the cyberspace regarding Ridhuan Tee's weekly column. As a post-independent, post-merger Malaysian, brought up in the national stream, I am totally disturbed by the impact of Ridhuan's column on the psyche of the Malay mass. I do not know him personally but I feel that he is a very disturbed person. Further than that, I can only speculate that his journey in Islam might have cause him a lot of pain and he is merely passing it on to the Chinese out there.
If a man's heart can be portrayed as a poem, Ridhuan's poem is one of hatred, malice and deep inside, sadness. It will be a poem yearning for acceptance. Just like a circus sideshow, he yearns for acceptance, he works hard to portray a semblance of credibility, and in the process, forgets himself. Every small act that is rewarded with the crowds applause slowly robs him of his sense of right and wrong, care about consequences of his actions. It is not a pretty poem.
Thanks for your voice of reason, without which, the image of Islam would be in tatters in the eyes of the readers of the blog. I have every intention to rebut his writing again this coming week. Malaysia deserves better.
